Kelsey Donohoe

I had the pleasure of dancing at Synergy Dance Academy for five years, from the time it opened until the time I graduated in 2008. I was a part of the Company, which proved to be a time in my life I would never forget, and it made me the dancer that I am today. The teachers truly care about you and push you to become the best you can be, while the friends you make will be ones you have for a lifetime; the studio became my home away from home and my second family. The owner and director, Kari Herman, showed me what it meant to be a dancer. She has a passion for the art that is rare; however, that is something she gives to her dancers. Dancing there gave me the opportunity to compete, and take classes in L.A, thus make connections with people that will be valuable to me in the future for my dance career. Synergy allowed me to see that dance was what I wanted to do with my life, whether it was going to college to dance or beginning to audition and work in L.A. I personally choose to attend college, and found I was fully prepared, even putting me above the mark of the majority of the other dancers in my class. I could not imagine having danced anywhere else throughout the years; Synergy Dance Academy made me a proud and confident dancer, and prepared me technically and emotionally for a dance career. I recommend this studio to anyone who is serious about dance and wants to be a part of something bigger.
