
Dress Code
Students must observe a dress code that allows the dancer to move and the instructors to evaluate and correct student alignment and position. With the exception of Hip-Hop classes, street clothing is NOT appropriate. Hair should be worn up and away from the face. For the dancer’s safety, please no watches, bracelets, necklaces, rings, or dangling earrings.
Tots/Combo Classes: See your instructor.
Ballet: GIRLS – Pink ballet slippers, solid color leotard, and ballet pink tights. Hair MUST be worn up and neatly secured. Leg warmers and fitted sweaters may be worn at first barre exercises. BOYS – Black or white ballet slippers, tights, dance belt, T-shirt. Leg warmers may be worn for first barre exercises. Hair should be out of the face or secured back.
Hip-Hop: Comfortable, loose fitting clothes. Sneakers recommended.
Jazz: Tight fitting jazz shorts, Capri or long pants. Tight fitting dance tops with supportive undergarments. Level I, II, IIA and Turns classes require black or tan slip-on jazz booties. Level III, IV, V and Elite Jazz classes may wear foot paws.
Tap: Same as above. Tap shoes w/socks or tights.
